Sheila McKinney | Trinity Loop
12 photos

There are many abandoned places in Newfoundland, it's history has greatly contributed to that. None has captured my imagination more than Trinity Loop, a disused railway line that was turned into a theme park in the 1980's. It closed in 2004 due to dwindling attendance and then a few years ago Hurricane Igor went through causing more damage. It is not on the map and there are no signposts for it, as though it no longer exists.
All of these images have been shot and manipulated on an iPhone. The cover photo for this project was recently selected for the exhibition, Pocket Vistas September 3-28, 2014 at BMFA Arts Centre, Collingwood, ON.
